I started my love for book design at the age of seventeen when I worked for Marvin Israel in New York on the book 'America and Lewis Hine'. Marvin taught me the importance of the placement of images. Together we would discuss for hours the choice of pictures per spread with all the photographs scattered on the floor and on the walls of his studio. It is an image I will never forget. Now with computers and rushed schedules methods have changed but the fundamentals remain the same. Here is just a small selection of the many books I have designed for a variety of publishers. All books were designed using Quark Xpress on Apple Macintosh. I am currently using Quark 6.0 and 7.0 and will be using InDesign shortly. Please contact me for further information and pricing. |
